When this industrious and enterprising tribe, the descendants of the Persian fire-worshippers, flying from their native country before the Caliphs, arrived in Western India, they were admitted to toleration by the Hindoo sovereigns, on condition of not eating beef. When those regions afterwards fell under the dominion of Mahomedan conquerors, the Parsees obtained from them a continuance of indulgence, on condition of refraining from pork. What was at first obedience to authority became a second nature, and the Parsees to this day abstain both from beef and pork. Though not required by their religion, the double abstinence has had time to grow into a custom of their tribe; and custom, in the East, is a religion."

Kina, Möjligheternas land.
Jag hittade kanske världens bästa jobb på DN.se idag. Jag tror att jag måste åka till Kina igen och börja arbeta som vit människa. Tydligen anställer kinesiska företag vita människor för att det är status att ha oss i närheten, speciellt i lite mindre städer där det inte är lika vanligt med västerlänningar. Arbetsuppgifterna att bara hänga och se så vit ut som möjligt och kanske berätta en historia om hur cool arbetsgivaren är för att han känner mig. Det är dags att utnyttja det faktum att jag är vit, jag känner att jag har alldeles för få fördelar av det i mitt nuvarande liv.

"After the donor passes the initial tests, the administrators contact the first patient in the same waiting list as the donor’s blood type [and other components of a match]...
If the patient who is on the top of the waiting list at the moment is not ready for the transplant ..., the next patient will be called... until a ready patient will be found. Then a meeting between the two parties is arranged (they are provided with a private area within the foundation building if they want to reach a private agreement) and they will be sent for tissue tests. If the tissue test gives the favourable result, a contract between the patient and the donor will be signed and they will be provided with a list of the transplant centres and doctors who perform surgery.
When the patient and the donor are referred to transplant centre, a cheque from the patient will be kept at the centre to be paid to the donor after the transplant takes place. The guide price has been 25m Rials (≈ $2660) until March 2007 for 3 years and at this time18 it has been raised to 30m Rials (≈ $3190). This decision has been made because the foundation was worried of a decreasing trend in number of donors.
"In some cases, the recipient will agree to make an additional payment to the donor outside the system; it is not certain how common this practice is, but according to the foundation staff the amount of this payment is not usually big and is thought to be about 5m to 10m Rials (≈ $530 to $1060). The recipient also pays for the cost of tests, two operations, after surgery cares, and other associated costs (like accommodation and travel costs if the patient travels from another city). Insurance companies cover the medical costs of the transplant and the operations are also performed free of charge in state-owned hospitals.

Female donors count for around 18% of traded kidneys in our data; it is in contrary with the Indian case where 71% of the sold kidneys were from female donors (Goyal et al. 2002)."
Vem sköt sheriffen?
Preskriptionstiden för mord avskaffas i Sverige, även retroaktivt. Detta är bra på många sätt men jag misströstar ändå eftersom vi nu aldrig kommer att få veta vem som mördade Olof Palme. Efter polisens episka misslyckande med utredningen var det nog enbart mördarens erkännande som skulle ge oss klarhet. Jag föreslår att Palmemördaren undantas från denna lag och för att ge ytterligare incitament borde mördaren belönas med 50 miljoner kronor om han lyckas bevisa om att han är den skyldige.
Jag är uppenbarligen av åsikten att Krister Pettersson, denna gigant, inte var skyldig till mordet. Jag litar nämligen på Leif GW Persson i denna fråga. Leif GW Persson är för övrigt en av mina absolut största idoler.
Jag undrar även om det finns en mördare där ute som hållit sig undan rättsvisan i 25 år för att sedan börja skryta om brottet i tron att han inte kan straffas, otur för den mördaren i så fall. The law is back, with a vengeance!

Säg att du parkerat din bil på en betalparkering, du har gått över tiden med 30 minuter och eftersom du är rädd för parkeringsböter skyndar du dig tillbaka till bilen. När du kommer tillbaka till bilen står en person där som säger att han lagt i några extra kronor i parkeringsmätaren precis när en parkeringsvakt skulle lappa din bil. Personen förklarar att han har detta som jobb, i regn och rusk står han där och lägger i pengar i automaten för att rädda människor från parkeringsböter. Personen ber dig om 200kr för besväret, du råkar veta att bötesbeloppet på denna parkering är 500kr. Personen har alltså sparat dig 300kr. Skulle du betala personen 200kr? Säg att han har bevis som gör att du tror på honom och att han inte försöker lura dig på pengar.
Detta är en tjänst som jag verkligen önskar att den existerade, jag skulle alltså betala mannen om jag hade kontanter. Är du sniken eller betalar du också? Om inte, varför?
